OCKiss Day 1: Desperate

Liliyah and Idrisar

A couple who were violently torn apart, now reunited.

The first night was the hardest. They had already been entangled for most of the afternoon, huddled together on Liliyah's bed exchanging gentle touches to reassure each other that- yes, this was real and they were together again.

Idrisar slowly ran his hand down the curve of her spine. Liliyah's head was tucked against his chest, her breath quiet and even. Darkness had settled outside the windows, a lantern burned low on the bedside table. He leaned back to snuff it out, but Liliyah shifted.

"Wait." She whispered, "let me look at you a little longer." Her hand cupped his cheek as she searched his face, her brown eyes gleaming like wet earth.

"It's okay, Lily. I know." He murmured, his hand covered hers. "But we both need to sleep." He ghosted a kiss to her forehead, her answering sniff didn't sound very convinced. "We're here, we're together. We're going to be okay."

The pomgon has arrived!

As already stated, these little bird-like dragons are menaces to society. Stealing fruit from trees and gardens, harassing local birds, and dive bombing anyone who gets too close to their nests. But some consider them very cute and smart creatures.

About the size of a crow.

Males have a bright red chest.

They are magical, using transmutation magic to ripen fruit. (but due to their small size, they can only ripen a fruit very little and not very often.)

They like red fruit the best, especially strawberries.

Despite their abundance in and around Sylmafrae, they are considered a hard animal to keep as a pet.

OCKiss Day 2: First

Kasiani and Ambrose

A king who prioritized love over a good queen. A woman who doesn't believe she's both.

Kasiani's head spun. The king- Ambrose, he insists she call him- had just asked to marry her and she had agreed. Despite months of courtship, she could scarcely believe he was still interested.

Yet here he was, head bowed as he gently kissed her hand.

"I'm not sure how much more time we will be permitted alone together." He said softly as he straightened, his eyes cutting towards the courtyard where her family was chatting quietly. "Is there anything you need before I leave?"

"What am I to expect now?" She asked helplessly, his gaze turned reassuring as he clasped her hand between his.

"I will come back tomorrow, to properly ask for your hand. After that I'm not sure, but I suppose there will be much to plan." His thumb smoothed over her knuckles. "I've asked Esmonia to help if you're worried about being overwhelmed, and I will be with you."

Kasiani nearly swooned, he had already discussed this with Princess Esmonia. He really did intend to marry her. Suddenly, her head was filled with the tales she read of kind dashing gentlemen sweeping girls off their feet. She must have taken too long to respond, he spoke again, soft like he was sharing a secret.

"I will do my best to provide whatever you wish, my love. Just ask." She looked up into his eyes, a brown lined with gold, and gathered up her courage to voice her deepest longing.

"I wish... for our first kiss not to be at the altar, viewed by a crowd. I've always wanted something soft and intimate. Something I could think of fondly and-" She stopped when he touched her waist, meeting his wide eyes with her own.

"Would now be alright?" She nodded and he pulled her in.

Elven Familiars

I was asked to talk more about familiars. :3

Dad, Can We Get a Dog?

It's pretty common that young Elves summon their familiar around 13/14 years old. It's a choice though, they can choose not to if arcane arts don't interest them. Though as you can imagine an animal that can telepathically talk to you would be pretty cool to a kid.

The summoning itself is a circle drawn with chalk on the floor, a specific phrase in the Magic Language (name pending) is written around the inside of the circle. In front of the caster a piece of spirit quartz and an object important to the caster (an old toy, something they've made themselves) is placed within the circle.

They speak the verbal part of the spell and if they succeed-

Can it do any tricks?

Mage and familiar have a telepathic/emotional bond.

Familiar shares their magical power, making the mage more capable.

Familiars don't eat, or do most things regular animals do, being spirits.

Familiars do have what is referred to as a wearable form, transforming into a physical object their mage can wear.

The familiar grows and learns with their mage, some are lucky enough to build an incredibly deep bond with their familiar lasting an entire lifespan.
